The Lasses had to cancel their 2019 US tour. We hope to have the back when they return to the United States. Keep updated by signing up for our Newsletter.
The Lasses are Margot Merah and Sophie Janna. The Amsterdam duo performs traditional folk and original songs with intricate harmonies. Songs from the Celtic and American traditions and original compositions are sung with clear voices, heavenly harmonies and full hearts.
We’re thrilled to be partnering with Debra Heesch to bring the Lasses to the Havurah building on Tuesday evening November 5th.
In the last couple of years Margo and Sophie have toured the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Scotland, England, the United States, Canada and Japan. This will be their second concert on Vashon and their first visit to our Havurah stage. Their repertoire consists of traditional Scottish, Irish, American folk and original songs.
Accompanying themselves on bodhrán, tenor ukelele and guitar, their lovely harmonies are perfect for the intimate setting of our stage. Their fourth album ‘Undone’ is due to be be released this fall and will likely be ready for purchase at the Havurah on September 5th.
Sophie and Margot are excited to play in the Havurah building, “We love to play small, intimate venues and we love to tell a good story. We hope we get to play for you for a long time to come. Thanks for all your support along the way.”
“Since our beginnings at an Irish session in Amsterdam, we’ve had some of our wildest musical dreams come true. We’ve been touring all around the world (Scotland! Japan! The USA!), we’ve recorded three albums (“sublime harmonies”, wrote fRoots) and we still discover beautiful traditional songs as well as write our own.”
Thanks for your continued support,
